Hank Williams' Grandson

A Decade of Brand Development

What started as a chance encounter in 1999 turned into a decade-long collaboration between Keith Neltner and Hank Williams' grandson. Two sides of Hank's musical persona emerged into a single image that embodied the unique balance of traditional hillbilly music and raw punk. The Hank aesthetic was established through that single, unmistakeable image, and a body of unapologetic work a decade long followed.

Working in close partnership, Keith and Hank created album design, website, show posters, apparel and other merchandise including a series of skate decks for legendary Sector 9 crew in Cali. The work has been inked on fanatics across the globe and iconic images like the Devil Picker, Skull Cowboy, Hellbilly Twins, Suicide Cowboy, and the Jekyll and Hyde skulls.
