    Halfcut Grand Opening

There is something exciting, almost a child like enthusiasm when we get to create things like brands, murals, naming, icons and typography. So building a brand for 6+ months and getting to assemble with friends and beer fanatics within Halfcut is a true culmination of why this business has amazing highs. On April 18th, the public will get to experience this unique establishment in Cincinnati. There are layers upon layers of this story, the flavors of beer, the visuals that adorn the wall-we're proud of what we've helped build with founders Jack Heekin and Tom O'brian and the entire Halfcut team. Cheers, fellas.

The great Brew Professor covered this launch and wrote a great article. Take a read and go grab your Growler, its time to get your beer.

    Braxton Brewery Exclusive

NSB has been quietly building the Braxton Brewery Co. brand since the beginning of this year. Working side by side with the Rouse family, literally, at times on their kitchen floor and in the family garage (where this dream started) penciling out values, tone, and history---the good stuff. Today, the news hit the world and we're excited to share just a glimpse of what's to come in the great Midwest and the world's brewing stage. One of the youngest brewers in the country at just 21 and one of the great veterans, Richard Dube. Hold on and Lift One to Life.

    Gold Addy Wins

The annual Cincinnati Addy Awards were Saturday night celebrating the creative spirit of our ad and design community. This year hosted by Landor at the Moerlein Tap Room. We're super proud of Kyle Ebersole, our Plowshare intern for his Student Gold win, Kyle attends NKU and is a huge contributor to the Small Batch.

NSB took home four Gold awards for our Halfcut identity, Arnold's Bar and Grill menu, The Tillers "Hand on the Plow" illustration and packaging won two Addy awards. We brought nine Silver awards back to the Batch. Including Shooter Jennings "The Other Life", The Dirt Daubers "Wild Moon", Bitter Old Fecker, Arnold's 1860 Porter campaign, 24/7 e-cig campaign, and our Kentucky Black Walnut Ale. Special thanks to the amazing team that helped create this body of award winning work.

    Queen City Fresh Feature

One of the many craft beer sites I like to visit is Oh Beautiful Beer which celebrates remarkable graphic design from the world of beer. It was here that I come across three profiles from local artist Keith Neltner of Neltner Small Batch (NSB). The first was for Lance’s Brewery Tour in which NSB designed an original Neltner poster in support of a Kickstarter campaign for Lance Rice a gifted beer historian that has autism and who’s dream is to write his own American brewery history book.
